Issues in Language Teaching is an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published by Allameh Tabataba’i University, the leading university in Humanities and Social Sciences in Iran. Issues in Language Teaching has been established to provide an intellectual platform for national and international researchers working on issues related to language and language teaching. The Journal was founded as a response to quick advancements in language teaching and was dedicated to the publication of highest-quality research studies that report findings on issues of great concern to the profession of language teaching.
The journal charges Iranian authors a total of 15,000,000 Irainan Rials (IRR) that is payable in two installments: IRR 5,000,000 as a manuscript review and processing fee upon submission, and IRR 10,000,000 as a publication fee after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. The review and processing fee is non-refundable, including in cases where a manuscript is rejected. Non-Iranian authors are fully exempt from all submission, review, processing, and publication charges. Manuscript submission and publication are free of charge for these authors. All remaining costs associated with the journal's editorial and publishing operations are financially supported by Allameh Tabataba’i University. The journal does not currently offer additional discretionary Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers beyond the exemption specified for non-Iranian authors. All applicable charges and any exemptions are clearly communicated to authors before manuscript submission.
The journal is published in both a print version and an online version.
