Among various factors responsible for this discrepancy, learning style by itself or along with other factors might influence the process, yet its impact has rarely been addressed in empirical studies. The present study aimed to investigate how learners with different learning styles allocate their attention to form and content when exposed to different input modalities. For this purpose, 73 male and female university students from three intact groups, participated in the research. First, the Ehrman & Leaver (E& L) Construct Questionnaire was implemented to determine the participants' learning styles. Then, the reconstructive Elicited Imitation (REI) Tests comprising a reading and a listening section were administered to specify how learning styles might allocate their attention if exposed to different modalities. Moreover, to obtain further evidence regarding how they would attend to the form and content, a structured interview was employed. The analysis of Chi-square showed that the atomistic learners processed the linguistic features more effectively while the holistic learners focused more on the content. The results further indicated that both types of learners had difficulty processing oral input, although the atomistic learners outperformed the holistic learners in attending to the formal features. Finally it was revealed that learning style is a crucial factor, directing the EFL learners how to divide their attention between form and meaning, but input modalities can only influence the process.}, keywords = {atomistic learners,attention,holistic learners,individual differences,input processing}, title_fa = {تاثیر سبکهای یادگیری و نوع متن بر توجه همزمان به فرم و معنا}, abstract_fa = {تحقیقات در حوزه فراگیری زبان دوم حاکی از آن است که فرا گیرنده های زبان بیگانه در میزان توجهی که به طور همزمان به فرم و محتوای متن اختصاص میدهند از یکدیگر متفاوتند. از بین عوامل متعددی که سبب این تفاوت میشوند میتوان از سبکهای یادگیری نام برد که خود زیر مجموعه تفاوتهای فردی محسو ب شده و میتوانند به تنهایی و یا همراه عواملی دیگربر این روند اثر گذار باشند، هر چند که این تاثیرات به ندرت مورد تحقیق و تفحص قرار گرفته اند.در این راستا پژوهش حاضر به چگونگی توجه همزمان فراگیرنده های زبان بیگانه به فرم و محتوا ی متون شنیداری و نوشتاری می پردازد. بدین منظور،73 نفز از دانشجویان ادبیات انگلیسی دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی در سه کلاس مجزا در این پژوهش شرکت کردند. شرکت کنندگان از طریق آزمون ساختار دستوری، آزمون تولید انتخابی-تقلیدی و مصاحبه ساختارمند، متون شنیداری و نوشتاری را دریافت کرده و ارزشیابی شدند. نتایج تحلیل آماری مجذور خی نشان داد که سبک یادگیری بر میزان توجه به شکل و محتوا تاثیر گدار است. یافته ها نشانگر این نکته بود که در توجه به نکات دستوری، افراد جزنگر نسبت به سبک کل نگر عملکرد بهتری داشتند. همچنین یافته ی دیگر این بود که شیوه ی ارایه متن می تواند برا نحوه ی توجه به فرم و محتوای متن تاثیر بگذارد. هرچند برای هر دو سبک یادگیری توجه به محتوا و فرم متن شنیداری دشوار بود در این مورد نیز جز نگر ها در توجه همزمان به معنا و فرم با عملکرد بهتری ظاهر شدند.}, keywords_fa = {زبان آموزان جزنگر,زبان آموزان کل نگر,توجه,تفاوتهای فردی,پردازش متن}, url = {https://ilt.atu.ac.ir/article_11829.html}, eprint = {https://ilt.atu.ac.ir/article_11829_47f752d6f0c949cb0c7deb9040799eff.pdf} }
