To this end, a mixed-method approach was adopted. In the quantitative phase, 122 EFL teachers completed three questionnaires namely English Language Teaching Reflection Inventory, Teacher Role Stressors Scale and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. The results of correlation indicated that there is a significant positive relation between reflection and resilience. However, the correlation between reflection and role stressors was found to be negative. Multiple regression revealed that of the five components of reflection, metacognitive and critical reflection are significant predictors of role ambiguity while only critical reflection can predict role conflict. Metacognitive and practical reflection were also found to be significant predictors of teachers’ resilience. In the qualitative phase, fifteen face-to-face interviews were conducted with the participants who had also taken part in the first phase of the study. Data were transcribed, coded and thematically structured based on a grounded theoretical perspective. The two main themes which emerged out of the interviews confirmed that reflection leads to resilience through strengthening teachers’ professional identity while it also leads to resilience or stress through making teachers prepared and knowledgeable. The possible justifications of the obtained results as well as the implications of this study for teaching English and teacher education in EFL context are discussed.}, keywords = {Reflection,Resilience,stress,EFL teachers}, title_fa = {تفکردر تدریس، تاب آوری و استرس در میان مدرسین ایرانی زبان انگلیسی: پژوهشی با روش آمیخته}, abstract_fa = {این مطالعه به بررسی رابطه بین تفکر در تدریس، استرس نقش و تاب آوری در میان مدرسین ایرانی زبان انگلیسی میپردازد. بدین منظور شیوه پژوهشی آمیخته جهت پاسخ به پرسش های این پژوهش اتخاذ شد. در بخش کمی 122 مدرس ایرانی زبان انگلیسی، به سه پرسشنامه مربوط به تدریس تفکر محور، تاب آوری و استرس پاسخ دادند. نتایج همبستگی نشان داد که در حالیکه رابطه مثبت معناداری بین تفکر در تدریس و تاب آوری وجود دارد، رابطه بین تفکر در تدریس و استرس نقش منفی است. رگرسیون چندگانه نشان داد که از میان پنج بعد تفکر در تدریس، تفکر فراشناختی و انتقادی پیش بینی کننده ابهام نقش و تفکر انتقادی پیش بینی کننده تضاد نقش است. نتایج همچنین نشان داد که تفکر فراشناختی و انتقادی پیش بینس کننده تاب آوری نیز هستند. در بخش کیفی این پژوهش، مصاحبه های رو در رویی با 11 نفر از شرکت کنندگان در بخش اول پژوهش ترتیب داده شد. هدف ازین مصاحبه ها بررسی این مطلب بود که تفکر در تدریس چگونه میتواند ایجاد کننده یا بازدارنده استرس و تاب آوری باشد. پس از پیاده سازی متن مصاحبه های صوتی، داده ها از طریق رویکرد نظریه بنیادین تحلیل و بررسی شد. نتایج نشان داد که تفکر در تدریس از طریق تقویت روحیه و هویت حرفه ای معلمان منجر به تاب آوری میشود. همچنین تحلیل داده های مصاحبه مشخص کرد که تفکر در تدریس از طریق دانش افزایی و ایجاد آمادگی میتواند هم به تاب آوری وهم به استرس منجر شود.}, keywords_fa = {تفکر در تدریس,استرس نقش,تاب آوری,مدرسان زبان انگلیسی}, url = {https://ilt.atu.ac.ir/article_10963.html}, eprint = {https://ilt.atu.ac.ir/article_10963_147d2a15cdd5463c23f02e2252cdea97.pdf} }
